My not so big house, the VA. I remember kami 4 beranak cat sendiri. The first time kami pindah, aku suh contractor cat kan. Tp rupanya dia tak pakai cat yang bagus,dia pakai cat kapur, not our standard’s cat.
So 3 years ago, Sirman and I cat sendiri. Berhari2 jugak lah nak menyiapkan cat dinding2 nih, sbab kami pakai 3 colours. Pastu setiap satu tu nak kena cat with 2,3 layers. Not easy. Kita tak upah orang yer, buat empat beranak. Aku lebih banyak santai, the kids lebih banyak helping the father.
So that was then. This year the 2009, we need to have a new colour for our dining and hall’s wall. Not only that, we appointed the professional to do the task. Nippon Paint is always the best painting sedari zaman dahulu lagi.
What colour yang saya pilih? Red?
No not red. In fact kaler asal lama dinding aku pun bukan pun merah, it s like more to dark purple and lilac colour. Perabot2 aku majorly kaler merah takkan nak apply merah jugakkan.
This year’s feng shui said, I should use the orange colour. It s gonna make my house a bit warm. Udahlah orang2 dalam rumah sangat2 garang terutamanya aku ni ha. So tengok buku macam orange and light orange will be a new colour that match with the red sofa. With everything that I have in red lah, dalam umah aku kan pesta merah.
Why oren kak red? Tak pengsan ke? Match ke ngan merah?
Ha tu lah….surf this web, nanti korang tau lah betapa u are supposed to match all every colours with your environment. Like my case, aku pun tak tau rupanya oren adalah warna yang menenangkan to match with my red collection.
But indeed, it is.
If u wonder napa ke aku bermask2 pulak dalam rumah sendiri, bukan sebab cat ni ada bau. No. satu hapa bau takde tau ngan Nippon Paint. Coz kan some paint memang berhari2 ko leh baru cat kan, aku pakai mask coz tak nak kena habuk mar.
Idung aku kan very the manja…
Dok tolak2 the cabinet and furniture, so mestilah ada habuk2 melekat kat celah2 bedah menyorok yang tak tercapai dek tangan, tu yang kena pakai mask.
Oh btw, since aku pakai the professional painter, we started all the painting at 9am, aku predict abih lam kol 5 petang gitu lah. Katanya satu umah except bilik and kitchen lah yer….
So there u can see the 2 diff colours, the dark orange is Marsh Marigold 7043D and light orange is Sun Touched 448. Dalam gambar nampak macam putih tapi tidak ye gang, itu adalah kaler light orange. Yang sungguh redup lembut warnanya.
Aku pakai kaler lembut. Wuiii..jarang2 sungguh.
Sangat licin betul Uncle Alan cat kan yer………tangan tak gigil langsung. Cat pun tak menitik. Ha satu lg yang molek adalah Nippon Paint ni senang dibasuh. Kalaulah ada drop to your lantai ke, kena tangan jer, very easy one to wash.
Takdelah nak menyental cam nak giler, ke main pakai minyak2 bagai. Ingat dok orang tua asal kena cat je dia suh kita bersihkan ngan minyak. Ha not to Nippon Paint.
The light orange colour, ngan nama scientific nya adalah Sun Touched 448 . Key Wai is doing the make over for the purple wall. I love the colour. But people need to change and move on. Takkanlah nak dok je kat takuk lama gitu kan.
N I m using my redmummy’s power to my own house. It s my house. No outsider can have the power to your own house. U see?
Ehehhehee, since I have the power, Nippon Paint is helping me then.
Selamba jer Uncle Alan bukak grill tingkap aku tuh….he knows his job. Ko engage je Nippon Paint, tau je lah diorang mencantikkan warna warnikan rumah korang nanti.
Actually dah almost siap kot nih….
Senangnya bila tengok orang mengecat rumah orang…
Kalau kita buat punyalah payah nau.
Abang gigil je tangan nak tolong sama, tapi kang lambatlah pulak keje mengecat kita nih, diorang tak kisah budak2 kacau coz depa tau keje diorang janji ko jangan pi cap2 kan tangan korang kat dinding.
Btw satu lagi tip nak bagi cat cepat kering adalah jangan dipasang kipas. Sebab kalau tidak kang abih penuh debu2 di jalanan ikut sama melekat kat dinding.
Alright, everything looks perfect now…semua dinding dah dicat cantik. Nak tunggu kering aku nak buat satu drama design pulak.
Eh ado lagi, ingat kita cat sesaja je ke? Ado lagi tak siap yang oiiii
Wah cannot tahan lah, ai love the new paint haahhahaha, sapa tak suka benda baru yang oi. Lelebih lagi aku adalah wanita yang suka warna berani and garang. The orange colour for me is still garang lah, tp the light orange tu macam jauh je dengan konsep hidup aku.
But I m ok with it, we need to try something new in our life, live life to the fullest.
Ic ok….so cat sudah kan. Semua cat dah kering. Now aku nak buat design pulak kat one of my feature wall. Aku nak buat design simple yang menggunakan sponge sahaja….
Use the masking tape, buat corak buluh memacak ke atas….nampak clear tak kat gambar ni. Ada masking tape menyimpang arus sana sini bagai melintang patah, itu untuk buat special design for my feature wall.
Call the soldiers to get ready for the design to make…
We gonna have a partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Chop chop the wall, pakai sponge dipotong 3. the smaller the better cos kita nak chop chop je kat dalam masking tape tu jer.
If you have kids, please get your kids to do the design. They will like it. Dahlah nak mengecat depa tak boleh buat. So let the kids master pulak buat design yer.
Sebab mak merah adalah kurang ketinggian, the top part of the design, pass the job to Sirman. Satu red family bikin kereja deco design of the feature wall.
Kompilasi masa yang diambil untuk buat all the chop chop dalam 15minjer. Sangat simple. Cara chop pun jarak2 tau, jangan main tarik tenyeh plak kang tak nampak irama bunganya itu.
finally siap, after 5 min…kita bukak the masking tape. Oh btw itu lah design yang menggambarkan ala2 pucuk rebung buluh yer hehehehee….so konsepnya macam ko letak pasu tetiba ada aluran buluh di atas…
it s all the project under one roof, satu red family bergabung buat the design….simple and easy, korang leh buat sama gak. Any concept colour or design yang hangpa mau, pakai creativity masing2 lah. Cat zaman skang bukan saja pada cat sahaja tapi also pada design jugak.
Tidak sahaja di wall tp di furniture pun boleh gak Nippon Paint diapply.

satu rahsia nak bagitau korang, Nippon Paint tidak pernah berasal dari Jepun tapi asalnya adalah dari Singapura. Hahahaha u see, market babe market. Kita pandang ke timur, jadi konsep design buluh aku pun pandang ke timur jugak. We finished all painting and designing the feature wall at 12pm, just 3 hours.
Dengan professionalism Nippon Paint, pantas giler diaorang buat, perfecto betul corak cara mereka bekerja dengan semangat saya mahu warna rumah yang baru, wow!

Somehow saya prefer – paint kak. Pakai utk rumah sekarang, dah 6 tahun tp tetap berkilat mcm baru cat. – penah pakai utk cat rumah parents, tp baru 4 tahun cat dah pudar, lusuh. Padahal harga sama2 mahal.

I like the feature wall. Simple but interesting at the same time.. Orange is quite a surprise tp memandangkn the color tkdela garang sgt so nmpk sesuai dgn perabot2 merah tu..

wahh tantek nyerrr kaler baru ghumah korang Red..mmg kalu ada profesional consultant hasilnya pasti x akan mengecewakan ….
kebetulan after 7 yrs baru raya taun ni akak tukor cat ghumah..selama 7 taun ghumah kami kaler orange …but now still maintain that orange belah atas, juz add in hok merah belah bawah .. merahnyer cam backgrnd ruangan komen nih
